MY SON IS HOMELESS!!!
Sounds disheartening, doesn't it? Poor Dave and Stacy. All kidding aside, they are actually very excited! Dave and Stacy are in the midst of a huge "remodeling" project -- more of a rebuilding, actually. Today their home was demolished by a wrecking crew and a bulldozer, and next week the construction will begin on a brand new home. In order for it to be considered a "remodel" (cheaper) instead of "new construction", they had to leave one wall standing. You may notice that on the right in the picture below. Here is Dave saying, "What happened to my house?"

It was quite the event -- and at times there were about 30 neighbors gathered outside to watch the process. Here are some enterprising kids that decided to cash in on the deal with a lemonade stand -- good idea in the 100 degree heat!
In the meantime, David, Stacy and Brody are living with Stacy's sister and her family. They live in the same city, so it was really convenient. He promises to send pictures as the house progresses, so watch for updates.

Hi Janice,
I really enjoy reading your blog!
Dad would be amazed. The “remodel” would be the main topic of conversation during and after construction- Dad would probably call David daily to check on the progress.
I look forward to seeing the pictures as the house progresses.
What a wonderful memory you’ll have of the 4 days you spent at Disneyland! I know you enjoyed every minute with the kids.
It reminded me of the time we spent together at Disneyland almost 40 years ago! Yikes!
Marcia,
I am glad you enjoy the blog. Thanks for leaving a note! Was our trip to D-Land really 40 years ago??? I guess it had to be. WOW!
I love keeping up with you on your blogs. I just finally today figured out how to subscribe to them... now I don't have to worry about forgetting for so long. Loved so much the pictures of all the kids having fun at all the places you went.
My blog stayed on MySpace -- it's mostly just for stress relief for me, and very rarely is entertaining for anyone. When it starts to get interesting, I'll probably move it too! Love you!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Have those kids grown up or what? I've been digitizing my old slides and prints and have found several of David and Lisa as much, much younger people. As Harry Chapin sings in a favorite song, "And the years keep rolling by..." Glad to see they have all turned out so well. You should be very proud!!
